Name, Location and how long have you been an Agent

Rod Watson, TX & CA, Agent for 14 years

How would you describe your brand?

My brand is a luxury lifestyle brand that focuses on servicing sports and entertainment professionals. We advise our client on buy, selling, and investing strategies when it comes to building long term wealth through real estate.

How do you differentiate yourself?

We have a unique approach to servicing the sports and entertainment industry. We host private events, which showcase our luxury listings, along with hosting various financial literacy panels and trainings to provide education and insight on how our clients can continue building wealth through real estate investing.

What marketing method is most effective for you and why?

Instagram and LinkedIn. Because both platforms allows us to market ourselves in a unique manner and make direct contact with our ideal clients.

What marketing method is least effective for you and why?

I would say cold calling and door knocking. Unfortunately these approaches do not work with the niche market we serve. It’s all about trust, relationships, and people seeing your work over an extended period of time.

What are your three favorite ways to start a conversation?

My 3 favorites ways to start a conversation is one, giving someone a compliment. Two, asking someone how they’re family is doing. Three, talk about what’s going on in the world of sports.

How are you elevating the look and feel of your business?

From the jump, I have always used high quality photography and video to market my brand.

What's one piece of advice you would give a new agent?

Figure out who you are, what your strengths are, and why you really want to be in the business. Then build a brand and name around that and focus on building relationships on a daily basis.
