Getting Your Real Estate Life Together: Q&A Robert Sago

“ Have the courage to live a life true to yourself, not the life others expect of you.”

Name, Location and how long have you been an Agent

Rob Sago... Old Bridge, NJ (Middlesex County) 7 years

How do you stand apart from other agents?

Patience, personality, & Hustle!! I work with buyers from all ranges. First timers to investors. Any client who has worked with me will attest that I am genuinely working on their behalf, with their best interests always at the forefront. I make sure the experience is educational & fun at the same time. It's their biggest investment, stress comes with that. I do my best to keep them well informed & ensure they have an enjoyable experience.. and the hustle doesn't stop! Lol, I work my ass off for my clients!

What is the key to attaining long-term clients?

Making their biggest investment an enjoyable experience. It's all about relationship building. You take your opportunities to educate them throughout the process, and in doing that I always build lasting friendships beyond the transaction. I like to think of the initial transaction as the dating period. After that, consider us married. Lol, your realtor for life!

What marketing method is most effective for you and why?

Social media by far. It allows me to show people my personality a bit while informing all who see, what I do. I utilize stories on Instagram & Facebook to sort of document my day to day at times. I'll get DM's asking me everything from details on specific homes to the home buying process & even becoming an agent. The reach of social media has truly become an effective tool in my business.

What routine do you implement in your daily real estate life?

Waking up early! By far the best routine implemented. You'd be surprised at how much more can be accomplished if you get started early before the phone starts ringing. Anything from reading, going to the gym, or business related tasks all get done in the morning. Definitely the most productive part of my day!

What are your DO's & DON'TS when it comes to conversation starters?

Listen more than you speak! You have two ears for a reason. I've always disliked anyone with "salesman breath". You get the idea they are pushy because they're either chasing a check or have their personal interests first. NOT the way to build a lasting relationship. Ask questions, add value to the convo & LISTEN !!!!

Which goals are you looking to achieve this year and what will it take to meet them?

Platinum or bust baby!! Reaching the Platinum level for the circle of Excellence for sure. I Had a very challenging year in 2020 as I'm sure a lot of folks can relate to. It did allow me to reflect on my business & see where I can improve. I have put some new systems in place & it is full steam ahead!!

What's one piece of advice you would give a new agent?

Find a mentor to cut down the learning curve. It's a game changer! Also, be a walking billboard! Lol, make sure people know what you do!
